Treatment of deep caries

 For the treatment of deep caries mainly use therapeutic pads on calcium hydroxide. Materials containing Ca (OH) 2> have a pronounced antimicrobial, odontotropnym and anti-inflammatory effect.
Kalmetsin – powder containing calcium hydroxide, zinc oxide, human blood plasma and sulfatsil-sodium (albutsid-sodium). Liquid part of the therapy pads, contains an aqueous solution of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose.
To prepare the lining of kalmetsina on a dry glass plate is applied 2-3 drops of this liquid and add it in small portions powder until smooth plastic soft mass. Curing time kalmetsina 1-2 min. Due to sharply alkaline reaction (pH «12) the drug has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect.
Kaltsidont – ready to paste, used for therapeutic pads with deep caries. The drug has antimicrobial effect, increases the ability of the pulp for regeneration and stimulates the formation of secondary dentin.
Kaltsidont comes in a syringe to 9 g. After each use of a syringe should be tightly shut, as the paste is hygroscopic.
For the treatment of deep caries treatment using chemical curing gaskets on the basis of calcium hydroxide: Septocalcine ultra, Hypocal, Calci-cur, Calcimol, Caicipulpe, Reogan, Calxyl, Dykal, Hydrex, Keerlife, Reocap and others that are compatible with all filling materials.
Calcimol LC – light-product containing calcium hydroxide, have anti-inflammatory, bactericidal effect and stimulates the formation of substitution dentin. Using therapeutic pads Calcimol LC is not permitted to use materials that contain eugenol.
Septokal L.TS. (Septocal LC) – Medicinal light-strip containing calcium hydroxyapatite and fluorine. Term curing 20 days.
