Fluoridated water helps keep your teeth healthy
08-09-2009
For the artificial fluoridation of water soluble salts are added, creating an optimal concentration of fluoride, equal to 1 ppm (1 mg / l).
This process is carried out on the waterworks. In localities where they drink lots of water (eg, the tropics), the concentration of fluoride in water should be about 0.7 ppm, and in countries with cold climate – up to 1.2 ppm, while the risk of dental fluorosis is minimal. Fluoride exerts its effects on tooth enamel throughout the life of man.
It is shown that to maximize the effectiveness of fluoridated water should be consumed from birth, but some studies have shown the effectiveness of this method of prevention and for patients treated with optimal concentrations of fluoride after tooth formation. If water fluoridation begins after teething, a significant reduction of the growth of caries have been limited to teeth that have erupted in less than 2-3 years before the introduction of this method.
Studies have shown that the greatest efficiency of water fluoridation is manifested on smooth surfaces of teeth, and less – on the proximal surfaces, in cracks and fissures. In addition, for the front teeth, the influence of fluorination is manifested to a lesser degree than for chewing.
The result of fluoridation of water is the reduction of temporary dental caries increment equal to 50%, permanent -50% -75% in children 5-15 years.
Fluoridation remains the best and cheapest method of prevention, standing, according to the American Dental Association, less than 50 cents per person per year.
Fluoridation is many times cheaper treatment: any amount of money spent on fluoridation, saves a 25-50 times greater.
Currently about 5% of the total world population (about 260 million people) drink fluoridated water. Despite the numerous objections to the opponents of fluoridation, has not demonstrated any adverse effects, and although each objection must investigate the safety of fluoridation of water can be considered established.

Even the wealthy loose out when there is no community water fluoridation. Studies show that fluoridated drinking water reduces the cavity rate an additional 20-40% over and above the protection provided by topical fluoride.Several communities in Pinellas County will probably start fluoridating their water, but alas, that will make fluoridation more costly than it need be.When it comes to public health measures especially ones like fluoridation which is so remarkably safe and effective the community shouldn’t suffer because of the misconceptions of a minority of citizens who have been mislead by a few conspiracy theorists. Science should be the arbiter in issues like this. The same goes for other public health issues such as food irradiation.Even without fluoridation, there is going to be naturally occurring fluoride in drinking water. Those who don’t want it should consider using filters. I would consider it child abuse to actively deprive children of adequate fluoride to maintain healthy teeth and bones. :PDRTJS_settings_4499477_comm_38873={“id”:4499477,”unique_id”:”wp-comment-38873″,”title”:”Reverse%20osmosis%20helps%2C%20but%20the%20preolbm%20is%20it%20takes%20out%20all%20the%20calcium%20and%20magnesium%20that%20benefit%20teeth%20and%20general%20health.%20Remineralizing%20this%20water%20with%20the%20salt%20mentioned%20above%20will%20not%20add%20en…”,”permalink”:”http://wakeup-world.com/2012/05/09/are-you-unintentionally-poisoning-your-food/#comment-38873″,”item_id”:”_comm_38873″};Reverse osmosis helps, but the preolbm is it takes out all the calcium and magnesium that benefit teeth and general health. Remineralizing this water with the salt mentioned above will not add enough calcium or magnesium back to what is found in natural ground waters. I have tested this with 3 well known natural mineral salts and each test showed no calcium or magnesium detected. Hard water is high is calcium and magnesium and alkaline and Soft water is low in these minerals and often acidic as a result. Adding extra calcium and magnesium is what should have been done years ago instead of fluoride. :So do we really need to add more to our water ?? what did we do bofree we had the technology to do this ??? What about all the people with osteoporosis does that mean we need to add calcium to our water ? or people that want more vitamins should we add them to our water why not fortify it with everything so we dont need to go any where else for nutrients ??? just think of the problem that would cause leave the water as is its water we need it for life stop polluting it or adding more to it than mother nature did its that way for a reason . or was mother nature wrong? :Body Bugg is this device that I wear on my arm the mniotors how many calories I burn a day. I input the food I am eating and it helps me create a caloric deficit so that I can loose weight. I did it after Stella and lost 12 pounds in 2 months when Stella was 10 months old. Highly recommend it if you really want to loose the weight and you are ready to commit to recording what you eat. http://vqndfgx.com fhslfouzpho [link=http://miegtbxzx.com]miegtbxzx[/link]

Chewing gum – a means of improving oral hygiene at the expense of increasing the amount of saliva and rate of salivation, which helps clean surface of the tooth and the neutralization of organic acids produced by bacteria of plaque.
Chewing gum manifests its effects on oral tissues in the following ways:
• increases the rate of salivary secretion;
• stimulates secretion of saliva with a higher buffer capacity;
• helps neutralize plaque acids;
• favors rinsing saliva remote areas of oral cavity;
• Improves the clearance of sucrose from the saliva;
• helps to remove food debris.

Oral liquid, or mixed bundles provide a normal functional state of the teeth and oral mucosa. It consists of secretions of the salivary glands, epithelial cells, white blood cells, microorganisms and food debris.
In a normal day secreted about 500 ml of saliva, of which about 200 ml – during meals. and the rest – in a state of rest. Saliva plays a protective role in relation to teeth and oral mucosa.
The functions of saliva include:
• cleansing of the oral cavity of food debris, plaque and bacteria;
• neutralization of acids and bases produced by bacterial plaque;
• antibacterial and antifungal effects;
• dissolution and leaching of sugar from the surrounding tooth sites of oral cavity;
• Ensure receipt of inorganic ions necessary for re-mineralization of primary caries damage.

Recent studies of Canadian scientists have shown new and useful properties of the usual red wine. From their findings it follows that the polyphenols that are part of the drink, have a beneficial effect in diseases such as gingivitis, gum disease or periodontitis. At a meeting of the American Association for Dental Research, taking place annually in Orlando, a group of scientists led by Fathia Chandad made a report on the benefits of dry red wine on the mouth.
Inflammation is the natural reaction of the organism to protect against pathogenic bacteria, but in the course of this reaction generates large quantities of free radicals.

Scientists from the Academy of Dentistry have found that smoking one pack of cigarettes a day will inevitably lead to loss of teeth, or to be more precise and literal, the «smoked a pack of cigarettes per day = loss of at least two teeth in 10 years». The result of the 30-year study was the fact that the probability of tooth loss in persons smoking approximately two times higher in comparison with people who no smoking.
The essence of the results of the study is that daily smoking leads to the development of periodontal disease, which in turn leads to tooth loss.

In fact, there is no perfect and effective methods of home bleaching, but some methods exist to strengthen the teeth and slight bleaching effect. For example, a common product like milk not only helps strengthen the tooth enamel, but also make your teeth a little whiter. Also a little help whiten teeth lemon peel. One of the most popular means of traditional medicine – baking soda. But do not forget that soda literally rip off the top layer of tooth enamel! If you brush your teeth with soda more often than once a month, you can quickly thinned enamel, in addition to all other things will increase the sensitivity of teeth to any spicy or hot food.
